Last February, I had the privilege of interviewing the legendary writer Eduardo Galeano in Montevideo, his hometown, on a rainy day at Bacacay Cafe across 154 year-old Solis Theatre.

“Your last book `MIRRORS` is a magic mosaic of our humanity, a heartbreaking unofficial story of the world. It includes stories of almost everyone! I found many stories I could relate myself. Since publishing your book `OPEN VEINS of LATIN AMERICA`, almost 40 years passed and during this period, Latin American countries managed standing against American Imperialism as proven by last elections. Could you agree that open veins of Latin America are somewhat tied together, today?
